Zoetrope It is designed with your privacy in mind. The app works entirely on your device and does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data.

What the app accesses

Zoetrope It requests access to the following device features, only when you use them:

• Camera — Used to record zoetrope animations at a synchronized frame rate. Video is processed on-device only.
• Microphone — Optional access to capture audio alongside video recordings.
• Photo Library — Used to save recorded videos to your camera roll.
• Flashlight — Used as a strobe light to create the zoetrope effect.

Data collection

Zoetrope It does not collect any data. Specifically:

• No personal information is collected
• No usage analytics or tracking
• No data is sent to any server
• No third-party SDKs or services
• No cookies or identifiers

Data storage

All app settings (turntable speed, frame count, brightness) are stored locally on your device using standard system preferences. Recorded videos are saved to your Photo Library. No data leaves your device.

Children's privacy

Zoetrope It does not knowingly collect any information from children. The app contains a photosensitivity warning regarding the strobe light feature.
